Re: pediatric dentist rec?

  • Can't remember what area you are in but I took DD to Dentistry for Kids in March and they were great. They have a couple locations:

    We went to Monroeville.

  • We had a good experience at Dentistry for Kids.  They have locations in Cranberry, North Hills, Monroeville, and West Penn.  dfkonline.com
  • I just take my oldest to my personal dentist, honestly, and he does great!

  • We also go to the Moroeville Dentistry for Kids and see Dr. Price.
  • My kids go see Dr.Barry Bupp in Irwin and Greensburg! We love him, I actually used to see him when I was under 18...and yes I already take Robbie to see him too.

  • I'll be watching this post as well!  We always just went to our family dentist and I dont have a problem with my current dentist, but  Adam is bad with Dr's. His 4 year visit was his best ever and we still had some tears and nerve issues. Even when he was little little and shouldnt have "known" what was up he would SCREAM the entire time.

He did ok at his first hair cut, but would FREAK if we just set foot in to make an appointment for me- so I cut his hair...

I just think taking him to the most Child friendly place possible might be better for him (and me and everyone else involved!)

I hightly rec. Dr. Hanna in Robinson.  I can not say enough good about his assistant (who does most of the work) and makes it so fun for the kids.  (Silly string is floss, and Mr. Slurpie is the suction tube).   After my 4 yr. old had her first appointment, my 2 yr. old begged to be seen too (even though I hadn't planned on it) because it was just so much fun for him to watch and he wanted to join in on the fun.  Warning: my insurance did not cover completely (they said it was "out of plan") and they let me know this later- after the appointment- so I had to pay big bucks for it... Even so, it was totally worth it.  My kids LOVE going to the dentist because of him.  Good luck!

The girls go to Dentistry for Kids in the North Hills. They have been awesome with Olivia when she fell and chipped her tooth and had to get it pulled a year later. Surprisingly she's not scared to go!
