Pet Peeve Wednesday
So, I walked out of our office to go to the bathroom (in a large office building) and as soon as I open the door and step into the hall all I can smell is someones perfume that they decided to bathe in.... now there is no one around.. so obviously they wore enough that it lingered.... ALL throughout the halls. So gross! When will people learn that stuff is not meant to bathe in... AND i work in the Provincial Government Building in town... so it's SUPPOSED to be "scent free" it's posted all over the building.. the funny thing is.. I find it to be the government employees that are the worst for it.
Anyways... what's buggin you today? Or just in general?

Men wearing short sleeved shirts with a tie. Seriously?? Oh yes, this is (insanely enough) very common in Europe and it looks RIDICULOUS. These are business people - bankers, partners of law firms etc - not used car salesmen!
Thankfully H has the good sense to be as irritated by this as I am

WE are SUPER short staffed this week and we have a couple of events on campus and my co-worker who I like as a person but as a co-worker drives me nuts. He SOOOOOOOOOO laid back to the point its like come on dude. He doesnt know what time anything is or what to do and has a whatever attitude about planning things. Its just him and I plus 2 support staff running the whole day today and it would be nice if he just knew what to do or where to go!
AF decided to come visit yesterday.... ugh... so i feel terrible, and yesterday i was soooooooo cranky....
H was so sweet though, he fixed me a GREAT comfort food meal and i stuffed myself to a rediculous point....
and rubbed my tummy cuz he knows i hurt so badly....
but i'm still annoyed.... i HATE AF... we're not TTC or anything, i just plain don't like it! i have really terrible periods.... stupid ovarian cysts.... the pain is sooooo bad! anyways, that's my peeve this week ..... bleh...
Me too! AND, this idiot at my work showed up wearing this today. Not cool, not professional, not anything!
I answer most calls that come in at work, and whenever someone calls I ask who they are, and where they are calling from so that I can let the person know who's on the phone for them.
Every freaking time I tell my boss who's on the phone for him, he's like well I don't know them, but I'll take it, and gives me this look like "why do you think I want to talk to this person" Like I'm supposed to know who he does or doesn't want to take calls from....all he'd have to say is "transfer them to voicemail, or no I don't want to talk to them, tell them I'm busy....

I work at a preschool and everyone is supposed to be picked up by 5pm. Some kids get picked up right at 5 which is fine, about 95% of the time the last kid doesn't get picked up until between 5:05 and 5:10 and while a few mins may seem like NBD, but everyday? It kinda does. I get paid 9-5 and if I stay 10 mins everyday that is almost an extra hour a week I am working and not getting paid for.
I kind of have come terms that this is just how things are, but my pet peeve is that the woman in the office gets phone calls from time to time from parents asking her to tell the teachers they are running late. What's annoying is that she comes to tell us after 5pm and not when she actually gets the call.
