Women Only Hotel Floors

http://overheadbin.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/10/13/8305881-no-boys-allowed-more-hotels-offering-women-only-floors?lite

CN: Hotels are having women-only floors with extra ammenties like flat irons, high end chocolate and champagne in the rooms. The floors are labeled as "secure" and some business-women feel safer staying there.

What do you think?

[Poll]

Personally, I wouldn't partake in something like this but if it's working for some hotels I can see them becoming popular. I'm picky about my hair styling tools and always bring mine with me, plus I hate chocolate. I also find it odd that hotels think that only women like high end chocolate and champagne. Pretty sure my husband likes both. I wouldn't feel safer. Last time I checked, women can attack women as well.

  • I wouldn't feel safer, but I'm not one to turn down champagne :) I'd stay there if I was on business or something, that's probably the only time I'd be travelling alone.

  • I travel all the time alone and I don't think I've ever felt unsafe just because there are men on the floor. Personally I'd rather have child-free floors, or couple-free since I always seem to be in the room next to the people having loud sex.

I agree with the child-free floors.

  • Sounds like another way for hotels to charge extra money for your "convenience".

I agree with Child free and Couple free floors- but now a women only floor

  • Now I want to know who voted that they'd feel safer and why.

  • I would enjoy all of those entities, but probably wouldn't pay $55 extra for them. Especially if I was alone. I don't understand why they'reore secure. Do they not allow men on that floor at all? Isn't that discriminating of they don't also offer all men floors?

    Use this code:
My Blog
You can also change the "My Blog" part to say whatever you want it to.

I can understand gender segregation in hostels where bathrooms are often shared, but for a hotel, I definitely wouldn't bother, especially when it costs more.
