Gift wrapping food? And insignificant clicky poll
I'll have company staying at my house next month while I'm not there. I wanted to leave a coffee cake for them. Any tips on wrapping it a la Martha? My usual answer is saran wrap (and get it all tangled in the process lol) and that's not the look I'm going for
Fancy packaging is one thing I've never figured out. I'm not even sure what words to use to google for ideas.

Re: Gift wrapping food? And insignificant clicky poll
Hi! Hope all is well. When I bake... I wrap cakes etc. in heavy cello wrap and tie the ends with ribbon. You can find it usually at Christmas Tree Shop. Especially around Christmas and Easter time. Michael's might also have something cute for you to package it in. I voted for Blueberry Nutmeg too.
BTW - re: pp. I would bring that Cracker Spread Recipe you shared with the Diced Pineapples and Pimentos. Everyone Loves that!
Hope you and all the other entertainers are enjoying your summer!

Very thoughtful idea! I want to come stay at your house, too!
For that extra special homemade-feel, I would first wrap it in Saran wrap, then wrap the middle with a sleeve of Kraft paper (tape the seam on the bottom) and tie a simple bow or knot with a single ribbon or even rustic kitchen twine. You could even use zigzag craft scissors on the edges of the sleeve.
Oh, that's a great idea, and so simple, too. And I already have twine, and I can use that to tie on a pretty tag with the recipe. Thanks so much!
