I've been home alone for the past 2 weeks while DH is in banking school.
I FREAK OUT when I'm by myself, especially because I can't hear anything with KR's fan going and my window AC going. However, the past week I've been doing pretty good.
I wake up, my back fence is open. It's a pain-in-the-butt back fence and someone has to physically push it open. So this is great because someone was in my yard last night. Of course, one of my dogs gets out because I didn't see it and starts wandering the neighborhood like he usually does.
I load KR up in the car and we go look for Toby, find him, and I stop to let KR off at daycare. I talk about what happened with the dog this morning (she lives 3 house down from me.)
She then tells me not to let the dogs out in the yard because someone in our neighborhood has been poisoning them with antifreeze AND they have found dogs that were SCALPED with their necks sliced open.
Oh, and did mention they found a pair of legs a few weeks ago in our town? Just some legs on a trail.
I probably won't sleep tonight.
