Seattle/Olympia with a toddler
We are traveling to Seattle/Olympia next week for a wedding. We have Wed, Thurs, and Fri AM in Seattle, Friday night-Sun AM in Olympia, and then are back in Seattle until Tuesday.
We will hit the super touristy things like Pike Place, Experience Music, and Space Needle. Any other recommendations of must sees-that are appropriate for a toddler? Any suggestions for places to eat that are kid friendly (allow kids, have highchairs, don't need kids menu)?
Thanks!
Re: Seattle/Olympia with a toddler
I assume you'll have a car?
Aside from what you have mentioned, I will recommend the following that would work with a toddler:
I would also make a quick stop at Kerry Park (amazing view of downtown) as well as Gas Works Park (great view of the city plus lots of room for the toddler to run around). Your toddler might also enjoy going to the Ballard Locks to see the fish.
If you have time it would also be fun to take a ferry ride. The easiest route would be from Seattle to Bainbridge Island.
Additionally, I love walking around West Seattle/Alki Beach.
Go to Pike Place early. Towards lunch it gets so crowded you can barely move, which isn't fun as an adult and I imagine would much worse with a little one.
And I really second the aquarium. Kid friendly and there's lots to see, but it's not overwhelmingly huge.
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.

This!! Kerry Park has great views!! I took so many pictures while I was there! Alki is also gorgeous - go at sunset and you get some really pretty views!!
Elliot's Oyster Bar was awesome and there were kids there when I went. They have great food (it's relaly close to the new ferris wheel they just put near downtown).
If you bo to the Ballard area, check out Hot Cakes!! They have the best salted caramel and you can buy it as well!
For the time down in Olympia, there is Northwest Trek with a tram ride through acres of animals on the reserve.
Also, Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium is very cool and usually less crowded than Woodland Park. Very kid friendly.
