How long did it take your home to sell?
We have had ours on the market for a month now and I am curious how long it took other peoples to sell?

We're not selling, but I've noticed a lot of homes in the areas we were looking to be sitting on the market anywhere from 3 months to 6 months to a year or even longer.
We got back the appraisal on the house we are buying and the appraiser's report had the market conditions listed as sales being 3-6 months if the home is priced correctly.
We're closing on our house on Monday (yay), but the place we are living in now is owned by my inlaws - and there are 6 units for sale in our building, which is definitely not good - especially considering a few of the units have been on the market for over a year. Hopefully they will be able to rent out the place after we leave...it's a co-op, and I know they allow rentals, but there are very strict rules regarding that here.
Our home in an area not hit too badly by the recession, sold within 4 months. Some may consider it a while, but we were very VERY fortunate to sell. I recently returned to the area and saw that two houses on our street that were for sale when ours was last Spring are still for sale.
Our condo on the other hand is another story. We've had it on and off the market for about 3 years. We completely renovated the inside and dropped the price. It is still for sale.
After 31 cycles and two losses, we've been blessed with a healthy baby girl!
