Poll: Favorite vacation foods?
What are your favorite foods you always have to get/bring home when you go to certain cities?
Re: Poll: Favorite vacation foods?
Beaches: I always have to get chocolate mint fudge from Candy Kitchen, an ice cream sundae at Dumser's Dairyland and the caramel popcorn from Fisher's.
Rehobeth: I always have to get frozen Nicoboli's from Nicola's. DH never had them as a kid and now he is obsessed with them.
NYC: I always have to bring back Crumb's cupcakes (even though I could just go to DC now).
Disney: I like to get Goofy's sour cherry balls and the chocolate covered rice krispie treats.
Canada: I love the iced coffee at Tim Horton's. It's not the same at the ones in the states. They use liquid sweetener in the ones in Canada and it's the best.
hmm, nothing specific but vacation is all about eating for me (I'm looking up restaurants before I look up things to do)
I typically have boring breakfasts so having nice breakfasts on vacation is usually nice to me
I don't really eat anything special on vacation that I don't normally eat.
When we go to Pittsburgh, I get a Primanti's sandwich and deep fried pickles. I also like the greasy, bad-for-you, O fries from "The O".
That's pretty much it.
Gracie - DH is obsessed with Nicobolis. He had them once, about five years ago and still talks about them.
We don't bring much home but vacations are all about eating for us! We love trying new restaurants.
I added that to our list of foods when you mentioned that in the OC post last week--I can't wait to try it!
I'm not even sure you can eat it there-I think its just carryout/delivery! Just a heads up. oh and we missed it driving by like three times before we found it-hole in the wall! But so delicious.....
When I go back home to Chicago and Indiana I have to have tamales and go to pretty much any Mexican restaurant.
