Has anyone successfully used a carpet cleaning Groupon?
I have heard several horror stories about buying a $49 Groupon and then unknowingly getting a bill after the carpets are done for various extra fees and extra square footage. Has anyone successfully used a carpet cleaning deal and just paid what the deal cost? Are there any companies I should stay away from when looking for deals?

I haven't done the groupon thing but I used one that had a coupon in one of those coupon mailer packets.
It was horrible. The basic cleaning that was good for the coupon did NOTHING. I could have done a better job myself. And the stuff that would have done some good was so much extra (which of course they didn't mention on the coupon) that I passed on that.)
When they came in they showed me the extra stuff on one area of the carpet and it looked good but then they told me the cost and I was shocked how much extra it would have been. Of course now I had one clean spot on the carpet and the rest looked just as crappy as it did before they came.
NEVER again.
If I ever try a service again, then possibly this Chem Dry Service.. they do not use water so no danger of mold or mildew.
