Italy Travel Blog- Reviews
Since I asked SO many questions here prior to our two week trip to Italy, I thought I would provide my blog. I journaled everyday we were there and have been blogging about our experiences each day- the good, the bad, and the ugly! No- mostly good. I am one week in and have one week to go. We went to Venice, Monterosso al Mare, Florence, Greve in Chianti, and Rome. Make sure you see prior posts listed on the right or go to see "Older Posts". Hopefully you find it helpful.

Re: Italy Travel Blog- Reviews
thanks for posting that. i enjoyed reading it. but had a LOL the bridge that the car rental lot was under was the highway you were looking for I believe
i didnt find driving there all that difficult really-and didnt find people to be that nutty of drivers. wtih the exception of central rome where i smartly did not attempt to drive. hey i'm a NY driver-maybe that's it. but i reviewed street signs and thingslike that before I went. we bought an italy map for dh's gps and just brought that with us as they aren't ever available and i brought a paper map too.
i liked reading about the galileo museum but just FYI correct something-in the blog it says that from piazelle michelangelo it gives you a great view of venice. oops. and steve martin!! awesome! great sneaky picture.
let us know when the other posts are up
Thanks for the feedback. I will definitely fix the Florence/Venice typo! I think you are totally right about the bridge! We are from small town Iowa and driving in any traffic can be overwhelming for my hubby- LOL! I tried downloading an offline map to my iphone before we left, but then it didn't work.
I try to add a new post about every day so check back!
Ah i had trouble with my iphone (I have 4s do you?) there too. using the wifi was fine-if there was wifi. if not it was useless. i was told it would work. i added the international talk and text blah blah and nothing. i was pissed.
yes the florence airport is so small (but has some great food inside-typical. a great glass of wine is e4 at the airport ahahahaha) but its one of the best in my eyes. it's small but efficient and knock on wood, the 3 tims i've been in and out i've not had anything but super pleasant experiences. while it is international i believe that it's only to europe and maybe some africa places or somewhere close. they dont ahve the runway space for large ocean crossing jets. too bad. if i could fly there direct from JFK like rome i'd be there every other month (not really but i'd like to!) but i hate the rome airport.
can't wait to read the rest of your posts!! did you ship any wine home? looks like you stopped at a few great places in chianti. that's awesome!
I have the 4s, and we did not really ahve any issues. We turned off cellular data. The phone wasn't the issue, but the app was the problem. We use it for wifi at most of our hotels, to take pictures, and as an ipod.
New post going up within the next hour regarding wine tastings and castle tours.
Thanks for reading! I am hoping it will help some future travelers!
