The Dog Murders-update

They "covered" it in my paper.

I slept with all the doors locked and windows closed (on the main floor) last night. I had a friend come look at the hatch to our basement late last night (it's leaking) and he ended up staying until 12:30 so it got my mind off of things...like being murdered in my sleep.

DH comes home at 12:30pm tomorrow...I'm SO freakin' excited.

I also bungee-corded the hell out of my back gate-My neighbor, however, is like Gladys Kravitz, she is up at like 3am looking out windows and making sure everything is legit in the neighborhood.

It could have been kids playing in my neighborhood too-high school kids play this game where they have to get from the park to the middle school without getting "caught" by another kid in the car. They call the game "Where's Waldo". I've had cheerleaders ask me if they can hide in my yard, which I've okay'd, but I did ask them to let me know when they were going to play. I did talk to some girls that said they weren't playing, but that doesn't mean other kids didn't use my yard.

Damn kids.

I'm now locking my doors during the day now though too-I've never had to do that before.

Re: The Dog Murders-update

  • That's insane!  I'd lock my doors too, stay safe!

  • Yikes! Stay safe! I can't believe you never used to have to lock your doors, that's crazy to me! Maybe I'm paranoid because of my profession (even though I haven't actually worked in the field in 3 years), but anyway, I always lock every door. Be careful!

  • I'm glad your H is coming home soon, hopefully that will help you take your mind off of things... it's still super freaky though! Stay safe!
