Organizing coupons?

Anyone have any great ways to organize coupons?  Right now, I put them in envelopes and it is a PIA to take to the store and sort through.

Re: Organizing coupons?

  • I have seen ladies in the stores with thin, three-ring binders containing plastic business card holders.

The card holders are 12 or so to a page and then they sort their pages with tabs marked (produce, paper, deli, cleaning, etc.)

The coupons have to be folded a little, but they are organized, viewable and not floating all over.

And, if you wanted to downsize, you could probably get a mini binder instead and then cut the biz card holder pages to fit.

  • Index card file box. I use index dividers with tabs to organize by aisle/type of product and file the coupons behind. Then, as i'm shopping, I move the ones I'm going to use to the very front. When I get to the check out, I just grDDRab the while stack and hand them over.

  • I use a three-ring binder with business card pages.  It works well because I can see all the coupons that I have a lot easier than I did when I had a small accordian file.  With the business card pages, there can be a lot of coupon folding because some coupons are larger than others.  Some people have better luck with baseball card pages.  I just heard that Staples now carries pages specifically for coupons.  So, that might be worth checking out.

  • Thanks everyone.  I really want to try using more coupons.

  • I use a 3-ring binder as well.
  • I use a three-ring binder that zippers shut with baseball card holders inside...it works for me!
  • I have a two step system: a coupon wallet for my purse for when just purchasing what is on my list and a binder with clear window sheets.

    Happy coupon clipping!

  • I use one of the accordion-folded coupon organizers.  You can get them at Target or Wal-Mart.  I have it divided by food types (Frozen, Breakfast, Baking, Today's Coupons, etc.)  It makes it very easy to find what I need and fits in my purse no problem!
  • If you go to a dollar store there are coupon organize products in the school supplies stores such as dollar general

  • I went to Target (or you could use the Dollar Store) and bought one of those small pocket accordion files for $1, and labeled each section for something different (restaurants/food/drinks/cleaning products/etc.).  I also have an envelope tucked in there for saving receipts.
