Why?

I'm trying to figure out why I keep doing this to myself.

I went to Cinema Cafe last Monday to watch a movie Joy didn't want to watch by myself.  For those not familiar, this is one of those places where you can watch a movie and get food at the same time.  Ordered a large popcorn and a pitcher of Mt. Dew.  It was bad enough that I got Mt. Dew, but no idea what the hell I was thinking getting an entire pitcher.  I felt like I was gonna die by the time I made it home.  Swore I would never do that again!

So last Friday, myself and a coworker went out to eat at a chinese buffet for lunch that I've never been to.  I only had two plates, but was miserably full for the rest of the day.

So yesterday, we go out with my parents to Sunday dinner at Carrabbas.  At way more than I should of.  Again, miserably full.

So my 239 has turned back into 249. Sad

  • Ouch-

Maybe try keeping a food journal.  Then when you go to write something down, you will remember not to get so much or eat this or that?

  • I have no idea what to say, because I do the exact same thing. I have the hardest time controlling what I eat. I have no self control and nothing has helped.

  • This has been my problem the last few months.  I'll do well for a week or two but going out to eat I can't seem to control my portions.  I even seem to have this problem when I cook dinner at home.  Since I don't cook/eat dinner at home the nights I have class, it's like I over eat on the nights I am home to make up for it.

  • When you go out to eat you can do one of two things. You can ask them to box up half your dish before they bring it out to you or you can start by eating all the healthy stuff on your plate. Fill up on veggies, salad, whatever is good... that way when you are full you wont feel too bad because you know you ate mostly healthy stuff.

  • I struggle with food self control too. My big thing is take out. I love fast food. I try to make at least two meals ahead of time and take them to work. When we do go out to eat I do what Amity said and fill up on healthy stuff. Trust me,i know its incredibly hard
