Tuesday Morning--"Is this weird?" Poll
My husband does not eat cereal with milk. I think this is so weird. So here's a poll. Do you eat cereal with milk? Does H?

I don't like cereal with milk either!! I'd rather eat a bowl of just cereal and drink a glass of milk than combine them....something about the cereal getting soggy grosses me out!

There are some cereals that I like without milk, but others I need milk to eat! I guess I'm just really odd
I don't drink milk outside of cereal, though.
My 'is this weird?' question is this: When do you turn the water on for a shower? Before or after you get in? I have always turned the water on, and made sure it's an acceptable temperature before getting in. H gets in, and then turns the water on. We both think the other is weird
Maybe you all can settle this for us??
hahahaha--both responses were hysterical. I had no idea people ate cereal so differently.
In response to shower--water on before you get in...I really don't feel like an ice bath...turning it on after you get in is just strange. Plus, our shower takes like 5 minutes to get to a temperature I will accept.
Both H and I eat cereal with milk so to me it is a little weird to have it without!
As far as the water thing goes I find that completely weird. I turn the water on before I get in and also make sure it is a good temp before getting in.
For my "is this weird".... When H eats a bowl of ice cream he puts milk in it and then stirs it until it's like a milkshake. I don't know why he wouldn't just put this into a glass and drink it. Is this weird?
H and I both have cereal with milk. Although H doesn't have cereal very often, but I do.
And I turn on the water before getting into the shower. Like others have said- I like to make sure the water is the right temp before getting in.
I am entirely too intrigued to determine if this is wierd. Don't worry, mancila, when I try this out, I'll put it in a glass
But I'm glad to hear that there are others who turn the water on before getting in the shower. I can't wait to tell H about my findings!
We both eat cereal with milk, we both turn the shower on before we get in.
BUT, H thinks I'm weird that I brush my teeth in the shower. Always have, my mom taught me to shower that way, and I love it, just spit right on the floor! In fact, sometimes I'll get in the shower ONLY to brush my teeth (bending over the sink hurts my back sometimes, and who doesn't love a shower?)
I think H is weird for eating raw onion for a snack. He says its a Hungarian thing, but for breakfast, he eats a hard-boiled egg with strips of raw white onion. For BREAKFAST! This has to be weird...

typically we both eat cereal with milk...although H makes fun of me if I run out of my milk (I am lactose intolerent) I add water to his milk to make it weaker on cereal.
Definately run the water before getting into the shower...I live in a country with hot water tanks and I intend to use it!
Something we are wierd about...Ah theres too many, but one that my H loves to bug me about is that even though I don't eat red meat...I love mcdonalds cheeseburgers.

and we both let the shower run to an acceptable temp before getting in.
i think the boiled egg and raw onion would be good together, but i'm the type that's been called out for the weird things i've eaten for breakfast
i'm trying to think of something weird hubby does, but it's too early and all i've got is that he doesn't like corn dogs, which isn't that weird, but i just found it out and was surprised we went this long without me knowing.... i'll come back if i think of something better :-P

H doesn't eat his cereal with milk either. He eats the cereal dry, out of a bowl, with a spoon and then drinks the milk separately from a glass. I don't drink the leftover milk from cereal which some people think is weird.
We both turn the water on first and then get in. Otherwise your shower would always start off cold! Although, H always ends his shower with a "cold burst" (and his showers are BOILING HOT!) and I always thought that was weird.
As far as the ice cream w/ milk thing, I used to do that all the time as a kid! No clue why! Maybe this is why your H does it?
I think the raw onion thing is weird, but I'm definitely bias because I don't like raw onion.
For Cereal - if I eat it for breakfast i'll eat it with milk... but sometimes.. .for a snack i'll eat dry froot loops. haha (I got that from my dad) H eats his cereal with milk if he has some for breakfast.
The shower - we both turn it on and then get in.. though sometimes if H just gets home from work if he's really hot he'll just turn it on and get in...
For my "is this wierd" I think H is weird becuase he eats leftovers cold. He says it comes from working outside and not having a microwave so he's used to eating stuff cool/luke warm... i can't do it!
I like most leftovers cold.. I'm not sure why.. just do! Do you have to heat up all leftovers? I don't know a lot of people who eat lots of different leftovers cold, but what about cold pizza? I know some people who like cold pizza, but not other leftovers.

Both my family and H's family try to go on family vacations each year. H has two sisters, one of which has 2 kids, so that sort of makes sense- it's fun to have us all around the kids for a week- we don't see them often since they live in WI, and the rest of us are on the east coast.
My family does not have any little ones, my older brother just got married a few months before we did, and my younger brother is single, but my fam still likes to try to get together for a little vacation if we can. None of my friends families do this, so I'm not sure if we're both weird
Oh yeah, and this is so weird.
H's favorite breakfast food is... leftover sushi

H eats his cereal with milk. When I do eat cereal, I mix it with yogurt.

Cereal: H and I both use milk (why wouldn't you???!) Although he has his cereal swimming in milk. It's like the bowl just isn't big enough for his cereal and his milk so he just has to fill it to the breaking point....and he still only eats Fruit Loops. I don't think they ever grow up completely!
Shower: both H & I turn shower on first. I'm with you girls, there is no excuse for a cold shower if you don't have to!
Leftovers: H refuses to eat leftovers. I mean he just won't eat them period. So cooking for us is alway interesting because I have to keep in mind how long I'll be eating them later! I guess I eat leftover pizza sometimes cold sometimes hot. Just depends what I feel like.
Weirdo husband....actually weirdo in-laws. These are the some of the greatest people I know...but I think they are weirdos because they will have an arguement with each other (most of the time just banter conversation) and then they'll just drop it. Like they never had the conversation without really finalizing it. I can't stand it! It's like the each will call a white flag and that's the end of it. What?? No I''m right your wrong?? Drive's me crazy!!!
H and I never eat cereal , don't even keep it in the house, funny thing is both Post and Kelloggs plants are 10 mins away from our house and we always smell them making cereal. If I do it eat I don't have milk and H does.
I turn on the shower before getting in. H just turns the faucet on, and then turns on the actual shower on when he gets in.
Thats because ketchup belongs on all of those things! Lol
I can relate to him there! I don't put ketchup on a lot, but funnily enough I do put ketchup on all that stuff
I love ketchup on Mac & Cheese!
Also something I love that others find weird (until they try it!) I mix Ketchup and Mayo sometimes to eat with my fries. So yummy.
