We were out of town for a week for H's grandmother's funeral, so I'm WAY behind on what's been up with you ladies- Fill me in!
What's going on with us- The beginning of last week was sad, what with the wake and funeral. Yet again, his grandmother has been in really bad shape for awhile, so her passing wasn't super shocking, but it did happen kind of suddenly- She didn't get any worse before she went or anything. We spent the week we were back in Alabama scanning all of his grandmother's photo albums (24 of them!) because he was scared to death that his uncle's will split them up and he'd never have the chance again.
After seeing the generations of pictures, and learning more about his dad's family (his dad passed away when H was young, so I'm not that familiar with that part of his family), I'm totally starting to think about having a baby. Like I've said several times here, I was baby crazy in my early 20's, but that phase totally passed... So for me to even be thinking about it is HUGE to me.
In other news, my best friend/ MOH is getting proposed to this upcoming weekend, so we took the chance to go try on dresses!!! SO much fun to be on the other side of that process Help me, ladies- What were some of the more affordable designers? We just went to David's, and she really couldn't find anything she liked.
ANYway- What have I missed?!
Re: I'm Back! Update Me! ;)
Welcome back! Sorry about your husband's gma. That is nice that you were able to be there for the services. Baby on the brain, aye? Fun, fun! I never had huge baby fever, but I'm gradually getting it which is good since I'm expecting.
I may have missed it, but what did you end up doing with the dog?
Sorry, my BMs picked out their own dresses so I'm not sure about designers. I know a lot of my friends loved Anne Taylor dresses and they are definitely affordable.
I haven't been on here much, TBH. I read the posts sometimes, but can't respond from my phone, so I don't get as involved. We're looking for a house and I'm quitting my job tomorrow (talk about timing!). Starting back to grad school FT this fall and hoping to find PT work!
I think I missed that you were expecting- Congrats!
We ended up taking the dog back, and it about killed us. I cry at the drop of a hat, so it was no surprise that I was in tears- But H was, too
Fortunately, she was adopted again a few days later. Overall, I have no regrets- Our cat still won't leave the basement from where the new dog chased her down there
Why is TN so crappy on phones?? That's exactly why I feel out of the loop- Didn't take my laptop with me, and it was impossible to use the site on my phone.
Sounds like you have a lot of exciting stuff happening! What are you going back to school for?
