applying for a new job

Hello, I'm currently working a contract position until Feb 2013 but I'm interested in applying for another job elsewhere. It's a similar job in administration at a college but it's permanent an part time, which I'd like.  My current job is boring adn unfufulling, plus it's only temporary.  BUT, my co-workers and bosses are great!  My fiance thinks I should apply for the other job and is sure I'll get an interview (I actually attended that college).  I want to apply as well because it's a better job...

What do you ladies think I should do?

Re: applying for a new job

  • Apply and see what happens. There is never a garentee that you'll get that job but you may. You won't know unless you apply.

I like to say if you enjoy your job and the people are good stay. If your truly unhappy make a change.

  • Apply! The best part of a job is that it makes you feel like you're really DOING something, rather than just working. Unfulfilling work just makes you feel...well... unfulfilled. That's no good! I used to have an unfulfilling job too. I was in quality assurance, scanning websites all day long to make sure they were working and such. After a year, I realized I absolutely had to get out of there! So now I work for an awesome place called ArcStone, and I love it :] So happy I decided to apply! So go for it. I bet you won't regret it!

I would apply for permanent position, your current position should understand if you resign before Feb. Good luck !
