So, why does anyone want to live anywhere other than San Diego? Seriously it was gorgeous the whole time. I would miss winter, but OMG it was so farking beautiful. I did run a 5K while out there, was it organized, no, was it planned, no, did I just get on the treadmill and start running, yes. Averaged an 11 minute mile too. Woot!
I met with the doctor on Saturday and I still have some weight to lose. I was SO wrong on my starting weight (like 15 pounds off) that I still have to work to get off that last little bit. Of course Aunt Flo came on Sunday, which I know added some water weight, but it doesn't matter. I think if it had only been the Aunt Flo weight we would be fine. So I have 16 pounds to lose still. I went to my doc on Monday for a weight check and the scale showed I was less than on Saturday, so I am well on my way :-)
If I can knock this weight off in 3-4 weeks, which I should be able to do based on the past 5 weeks experience, (this *** is melting off), we will be on schedule for an early October transfer (implantation). So that's where we are. Anyone want to run int he water at the Y with me? I'm thinking its going to be VERY boring until my knee heals a little. Oh yeah, I have an inflamed tendon from running the 5K, oops.
Re: Surrogacy Update and San Diego Trip
dude don't hurt your knee.
too late! It's a bum knee to begin with that is almost entirely artificial, I have used it as an excuse not to exercise for most of my adult life (I blew it out skiing at 18). Fortunately I have an awesome personal trainer, who has worked around it. And has really built up a lot of strength in the surrounding muscles to help compensate. I also have recently (2 weeks ago) discovered KTtape, and that sh!t has changed my life.
