Silhouette Cameo

Anyone have one?

I'm thinking about biting the bullet and splurging on one for all the crafting I want to do for M's birthday.  I also *think* I would use it for other things.  I can get a 20% educators discount.

If you have one do you like it?  Is it worth it?  Or is the Cricut a better option?

Re: Silhouette Cameo

  • I have a cricut and I'd rather have a cameo. The big difference is that for the cricut, you have to buy the cartriges to get shapes ($40ish each) - the Cameo hooks up to your computer so you can cut whatever you design in their for free, or pay $0.99 for a design in their store.
  • I have a cricut and love it. I only buy cartridges on sale and my mom has a million. I use it at school for bulletin boards and for crafts at home. That said I didn't know about the Cameo and seeing Kate's description I want one instead!
