I went to my first yoga class last night, and it wasn't anything like I expected it to be. We never got up off the floor or did any yoga poses....mostly just stretching and breathing.
I took a beginner class so maybe thats why it was so easy. I didn't sweat at all or feel like I was doing much exercise.
Is this normal?
Should I try a level 1 class next or stick to the beginner for a few times?
Luckily I was next to a woman who was also new to yoga and we chatted a little bit before the class started, which was nice

hmm... i've only taken hot yoga, so i was always a sopping wet mess when i left lol
i don't think it would hurt to go up to the level one class, but maybe taking the beginner class a few more times will be more beneficial to you in the long run.

I have yet to sweat in a yoga class. The beg class will probably escalate in difficulty so I would stick it out for a while
