What kind of hair do you have? (texture, color, cut)
Do you like your current haircut?
Where do you usually get it done? If you have a regular hairdresser, how did you find him/her?
Re: Hair!
What kind of hair do you have? (texture, color, cut) I have incredibly thick, wavy brown hair. It's currently a mess, a couple inches past my shoulders.
Do you like your current haircut? Nope. Not even a little. I chopped a lot off last fall and have been re-growing since then, and haven't even had it trimmed. It is well past due.
Where do you usually get it done? If you have a regular hairdresser, how did you find him/her? I had been going to Expose in West Warwick, because it was convient and relatively cheap and the hairdresser was pretty good with thick hair. Problem is she much preferred my hair in a short bob, but it is too hard to maintain for me and doesn't look right with thick wavy hair. It makes me look too young. I need to find someone that can give me a more practical style, but I've had a lot of poorly done haircuts because people don't know how to handle very thick hair.
What kind of hair do you have? (texture, color, cut) My hair is brown and very boring. It's a little longer than my shoulders. No bangs, no layers.
Do you like your current haircut? It's the same haircut I've had forever. It's okay. I wouldn't mind a change, but I'm way too scared to take a risk. I do like that it is low maintenance, because I don't have the time to do much more than dry it. It's also easy to throw into a ponytail if I want it out of my face.
Where do you usually get it done? If you have a regular hairdresser, how did you find him/her? Supercuts because I am cheap! All I usually get done is get a few inches off the back. It was annoying when I was paying $40 at a regular salon for something so simple.
Do you like your current haircut? No. I keep getting it shaped, but I don't like how it's been cut lately. I keep pushing it back with headbands, and they end up giving me headaches. I've been trying to grow it out because my husband doesn't like short hair on women. But it's my hair, and I'm thinking of going back to my most favorite and flattering short cut again, despite my husband's long-hair preference and it requiring more work to maintain the easy flattering length and style for me.
Where do you usually get it done? If you have a regular hairdresser, how did you find him/her? I cycled through hairdressers at the salon down the street, until I got my awesome haircut. But, she's never really repeated the magic. I'm going back to the hairdresser who cuts my mom's hair next week since my normal girl is on vacation. It's a hike, but I think I need a new pair of scissors touching my head. Plus, this is my first hair appointment since I switched shampoos etc. due to my allergies, and my girl was insistent on me needing product in order to style it. I can't find much that doesn't contain ingredients I'm allergic to. I'd rather talk it through with a family friend before revisiting my local salon.
Just like your Amy...thick, brown curly hair. It needed a cut really bad and I have not had it done in 2 years since I donated it then. I decided last night to donate again and should have stuck to just 5" rather than the 8" ....now I have above sholder length puff ball on my head and I don't really care for it. I like having longer hair but figured it was for a good cause and being that I will have 3 kids in 3 weeks and no time for me, it needed to get done.
My husbands aunt cuts my hair
I say go for it! I loved your short haircut.
What kind of hair do you have? (texture, color, cut) - Fairly thick, straightish but with an annoying, weird wave to it that never looks right unstyled. Still growing it out, it's about 1" past my shoulders right now with some shorter layers up top. Color? HA - um, my natural color is a mousy brown (I think, haven't seen it in prob 15 years except for roots) with a shitton of gray creeping in. Right now? It's a gorgeous medium brown with caramel highlights. LOVE my new color!
Do you like your current haircut? YES! First real hairstyle in almost 2 years, and I'm loving it. I love having it long - I can throw it in a ponytail, straighten it, just dry it, curl it. I forgot how much fun long hair was, I had a short inverted bob for a long time after first kid was born.
Where do you usually get it done? If you have a regular hairdresser, how did you find him/her? I didn't have anyone regular for a long time after we moved to NY - I was just using fantastic sam's in diff cities whenever I had time. I finally bit the bullet and called a local salon that is next to my dry cleaners - it looked nice and had a few good online reviews. I couldn't be happier - I LOVE my new stylist/colorist and am very happy! Figures, since now we'll prob move in March. ;-)
