I've been stalking my friends FB page to see if they've had their baby yet. I'm really getting nothing done here. At all.
B started crawling last week and within a DAY he went from being all wobbly to zooming around the room like a wind-up toy. He is exhausting!
I'm annoyed about the Chik Fil A thing - I'm annoyed that its getting mischarterized as a First Amendment issue (believe/say what you want, but that doesn't mean people have to pay you their money for it) I annoyed that the pres. said anything in the first place, I annoyed that their anti-women policies are getting more coverage now and mostly I'm annoyed that its becoming increasing difficult for me to rationalize continuing to eat there. Ugh
I had my review today. Overall everything was good, but my boss said something about my hours, etc. while I agree they aren't all they should be, I doubt it will improve much.
OMG my old neighbor is posting wedding photos of her daughter who I used to babysit for when she was an infant. OMG I am old.
I was going to save this for my FFFC but since Kathryn brought it up I am annoyed with the CFA thing on so many levels. First of all, I wish they would have just STFU in the first place. But second of all, I wish people would kind of get over it and move on. They can have their opinion, no matter how backward and misguided it may be. I think that some of the activists who are protesting loudly against CFA are actually hurting their cause, especially in places like here where we have it coming up on the ballot (stupidly) and you have a lot of people who are probably on the fence about it.
I'm also sick of people saying that Christians are being persecuted. No, they aren't. You know what else? Stop saying that the CFA supporters represent the "Christian" view or the "conservative" view. No, they don't. People are more complex than that. I know plenty of Christians who aren't bigots, and I know plenty of Republicans, Libertarians, and right-leaning Independents who support same sex marriage. And one more thing. Why do some people feel the need to chime in on posts with "Ew gross, I don't eat fast food anyway"? Well, good for you. Do you want a gluten-free organic cookie? Wow I am annoyed today, and sorry for the length but if I unleashed this on FB there would be certain idiots I have to deal with and I am not in the mood.
oh - I have one more - sort of related to Christianity. .. I think we might start going to church. Even though we very rarely go to church (like 2x a year) Ella talks about church all the time and yesterday she wanted us to say "the words about eating" like we do at Grammy house - figured out she meant saying a Blessing (even though we haven't eaten at Grammy's house in months). I'm not really opposed to church even though I'm fairly agnostic. .. but its sort of like she's craving it. IDK - weird.
We'll see if we can find a church we like I guess.
I just read that CFA made more money yesterday than any other single selling day. That's a lot of chicken.
Seriously though--here's what's making me angry. I'm tired of hearing people say that if someone doesn't agree with gay marriage than they are automatically a bigot. The President didn't agree with gay marriage until recently and I didn't hear anyone call him a bigot.

While it's true that not everyone who disapproves of gay marriage seeks to limit the rights of those who are gay, the vast majority with whom I'm acquainted *are*. And that's damn bigoted.
I'm sick of being told (not here on this board) that it's just a chicken sandwich, people need to get over it, and that it's a first amendment issue. A: It's about millions of dollars going to organizations that actively seek to fight rights for gays and oh-so-much-more than that; B: People DON'T need to get over hate and inequality; and C: Nothing I've read has said A-HoleChickFilA doesn't have a right to say what he thinks/feels - everything is about fervently disagreeing with his points. The first amendment right allows you to speak your mind. It doesn't protect you from criticism. Don't want people to disagree with you? Then shut your craw.
In other news, I'm tired of people posting Pinterest-esque (as in, I'm assuming they probably found them on Pinterest) graphics on Facebook. Not the occasional cute/funny/touching one, but CONSTANT friggin' postings. If your newsfeed is comprised solely of the thoughts of others, I'm gonna boot your butt from my newsfeed.
