Have any of you experienced the "great nest migration" over to another board? (GBCN) I discovered that a lot of nesties moved over there about a month ago but when did it happen and why? Was there a mass post or something that I missed saying that everyone was leaving?

    When The Nest Gods decided to change all the national boards to the "new" format and then the boards didn't work for days at a time in June, people fled and most never looked back since the proboards have no rules for the most part. There is also a proboards app that makes it easy to post from your phone (both android and iphone) unlike the nest which is stuck in 1990.

    they upgraded the boards and with it came a lot of problems and limitations.  The national boards (married life, fashion and beauty, politics and current events, etc) all decided to set up a board on the proboards site as a new home.  It was a mass exodus of sorts.  So now a lot of those boards are way slower than they once were because a lot of the usual posters went over to the GBCN boards (which stands for good bye cruel nest). It was very dramatic... Some took over the connect with pampers board with normal chatter. The nest people got angry.  the posters got angry. then the nest reverted us back to the old format but the proboards boards are still just as active as they had been before here. Maybe moreso since the site is faster and has a mobile app.

    I don't know whether or not any local boards moved, I think it was just the national boards.
