Once a cheater always a cheater?

I was reading another post on the Relationships forum and just wanted to see what you bright ladies and guy thought.

Ooo I think I saw that same post (I'm a major lurker). I feel as though (at least from my experience so far), once a cheater, there's still a chance they can cheat again with that same person. I feel as though someone cheats because they are not completely happy with where they are in life and who they are with. But if they meet the right person, who's to say that they will still be a cheater; maybe they were just cheating before because they weren't with the right person. Not making excuses for cheaters at all. I feel as though if they're looking elsewhere while with you, it's for a reason. But there's the possibility they can be loyal with the right person.

I do believe once a cheater always a cheater. My dad cheated on my mom with his 2nd wife and cheated on his 2nd wife with his 3rd wife. My ex cheated on me with his ex-wife and then continued to play me along while he started a relationship with someone else.

So in my book you dont get a second chance when you cheat... you do it once and you're gone. I dont care how sorry you are.

Yes, I believe it. One of my guys friends is currently cheating on his wife, but I saw this coming because he cheated on her in the past and cheated on every other girl he's ever been with.
