QOTD-8/3/12

Ok, I'm super bored/distracted at work so let's get this party started so we can all make it to the end of the day! haha

If you had a time machine that would work only once, what point in the future or in history would you visit? And why?

  • I would want to go back to the 70s and see what it was like then and my parents were a little younger than I am now then so it would be kinda cool to see what they were like when they were younger or when they met

  • I would go back in history rather than visit the future. I cannot come up with one time period or era to visit tho. I would love to go to Ancient Egypt and see how they built the pyramids, Some others that I would love to visit are European Witch Trials and the Revolutionary War.

  • I'm a giant baby and I wouldn't want to give up indoor plumbing, air conditioning, modern transportation, etc. So I think I would go to the future. I don't know what point though. maybe 2025 to see if the giant asteroid hits.

  • I would go back in history, I just don't know what point. There are so many points that I want to see, Ancient Egypt/ Greece/Rome, The Salem Witch trails, the 50's, and the 70's just to name a few.

It would be really cool to see the Salem Witch Trials...and i would love to see the 50s. That reminds of Back to the Future. I'm not sure about the future tho bc I don't know if I want to see my future. I'm excited to just live it

  • Wait, only works once... does that mean I can go somewhere and back home, or it only works one day? If I can get back home, I'd go watch Jesus in his final years of preaching and then raised from the dead. If I can't get back home, I'd probably go to the future. I'm not sure exactly what year, but I'd find a time with flying cars,
  • I'm really into the Philippa Gregory books about Tudor England so if I could come home (and not get beheaded) I'd like to visit that time period, just to see all the people I read about and what the castles looked like and everything.  When I'm reading them I definitely always think of how thankful I am to live when I do - women had NO rights then!

I also really like the colonial era, or maybe Cleopatra's time.  I think the 50s might be cool too.  I really can't think of any time that I'd actually want to LIVE in though, I'm pretty thankful to be living right now.

  • If I could come back home after, I would travel to the 50's so I can see Lucille Ball and Audrey Hepburn in their prime. :)
