I don't understand the need for this kind of technology...

These are called text bands...you shake hands with someone, bump fists or high five and your message transfers to your band...

 WHY?

As a teacher this horrifies me...hello new forms of cheating...

  • I honestly don't know if I can see this product taking off. Most kids have smart phones nowadays, why would they want something where you can only send a limited number of characters and only store 24 texts? Plus it looked like a pain to type your message.

This would have been awesome in the 80's/90's. Now, not so much.

  • Weird. I have never seen these before.

  • It's new...you can get them at hallmark. And I agree--it feels like something that should have been out before texting...

But I can see kids thinking they are cool because they aren't allowed to have their phones in school...and they may think they will be allowed to have these. I give it 6 months before they are banned in schools like the silly band trend.

  • I could see younger kids who don't have phones getting into this since they don't have a "digital" way to communicate.  But yeah, this is a toy that is just asking be banned from schools lol.  I can see the "bump" turning in to a hit, slap, etc. Huge distraction.

What happened to passing notes? I feel old.

    Anniversary
