How on earth is a kids birthday party Jersey Shore? haha.
I was visiting my parents for the weekend. My birthday is coming up on Saturday so we went down there for sort of an early celebration.
Finally got to have a somewhat lazy weekend!
Lots of chores, spent most of Sat. afternoon on the couch watching olympics/napping, and had friends in town, but they were staying somewhere else, so we just got to go to the fun parts!
HA well it was at restaurant on the shore and they played club music the whole time and there was a fair bit of drinking (despite the fact that it was an early afternoon party).
Maybe I'm just not hip to what peeps are doing these days. All my poor kid will get is a piece of cake to squish and get on his face, then it's bath and bedtime! LOL

I've been to one of these, complete with the centerpieces with the fish swimming in them and the baby "drove" in on a mini Escalade. It was my cousin and I love her to death, but yeah.
Nothing new here--just wrapping up summer work and then I go back to work in a few weeks. I can't believe summer is almost over! After counting down to our trip for so long, we don't know what to do with ourselves now :P

Work has been super busy and haven't had any down time!
DH and I purchased our first home last month and things have been great!
DH got a better job and is getting paid much more!!

Fall Wedding Bio
Hi everyone!
I have been so MIA the past couple weeks -- it's just been so crazy. Between a couple of large projects for clients, and having houseguests, it just feels like non-stop stuff going on!
Last week my dad came to stay a couple days with us before heading down to Texas where he is moving, my parents' divorce is finally over as of the end of July, so he is moving there. It's sad for a few reasons, although I'm happy for both of my parents to be able to move on. But he used to be a 3 hour drive away, and now it's going to be a plane ride away, so I'm sad about that.
Then, my friend came to visit from California for the weekend Thursday night-Monday, and we went to Lollapalooza Fri-Sun. It was a super fun weekend, but totally draining! No time to recover really, since I had to pick right back up with work as I had a couple deadlines for today, and a big one for Friday. I'm glad to be so busy, but it's kicking my butt right now!
