Anybody do grandparent/caregiver pass for Zoo/museum

We have had the zoo pass just for us but I was curious if we get the grandparent or caregiver one-is there separate passes for them or if it states on it, for grandparents also or caregiver? thanks!!

Re: Anybody do grandparent/caregiver pass for Zoo/museum

  • My parents purchased the senior pass, and they are the only ones who can use it.  I didn't think they had a special grandparent/caregiver pass.  There are additional guest passes that you can purchase with your membership and anyone can use them, but I'm not aware of a specific membership for caregivers.  Their website probably has more info!
  • I don't have it, but my BFF does.

She has the membership for her family, and it comes with 10 electronic caregiver/grandparent/whatever passes that can be used to allow others can come with them, bring the kids, etc.

They're deducted from the balance as they're used.

  • The zoo no longer has babysitter/caregiver passes to purchase. However you can get a family plus membership(which gives 10 free guest passes) for I wanna say $120(?). The prices went up since I bought ours in March. But grandparents can buy their own membership for like $75(?) and I believe it can include passes for grandkids! We've gone to the zoo 4 times this year and our pass has already paid for itself with us taking grandparents/friends of faith's etc. And we getto go to a members only night this Thursday where we can take pics with the elephants

pictures with elephants? I looked up the member night and did not see that?! only saw $1 food specials and free train rides!

Thanks ladies, someone mentioned to me about the childrens museum and the grandparent pass-I wasn't sure how it worked. I know the zoo just has the 10 additional passes to use for guests! I will have to look online!

  • Ditto the others.  We have the family +20 guest passes for $165.  The guest passes are used for g-rents, visiting friends, etc.  it's the Childrens Museum where they have extended family which is up to 4 adults (we have us, my mom and my sister as those 2 are most likely to go).  That pass is $135 and it's also the cheapest pass to get you reciprocal membership (ie:  at the Childrens and Science Museums in other cities).  When we were in San Diego, the pass paid for itself just in reciprocal admissions.

  • Yes the zoo member nights they change what "perk" you get with animals... The email for this week said pics with elephants. It's pretty cool! I'm hoping to be able to go Thursday with both kiddos, since dh is probably still working some OT...

  • We have the extended membership for the Carnegie museums.  You only get two cards for the primary adults, but we gave one of them to our DCP so that she could take him there on data that she doesn't have a full load of kids.  They have her name on file so she had to show them our card and her ID
