So I have been diagnosed with GERDs. Never saw that comming for 27 years. After several tests my doctor thinks I may have IBS. Now I haven't had every test out there but I kind of want to just so I know 100% it's IBS.
Re: My health
Well, it's good to have a diagnosis so that you can start treating it. GERD is pretty common. Annoying, but treatable. I have GERD and LPRD. Lost a ton of weight 6 years ago before it was under control. I couldn't keep anything down. But after figuring out when I was having flare ups and how to control them, things are much better now.
IBS is definitely trickier though. I hope that it ends up not being that for you! And I hope that you feel better soon!

I'm glad you have a diagnosis so you can treat it! GERD is really common so hopefully you'll be able to get it under control and be good to go.
IBS is definitely more tricky but once you know what triggers you, hopefully you'll be feeling a lot better
