I start work next week at the Environmental Charter School in Regent Square. I live in Crafton (Greentree/Robinson) and am very worried about traffic, especially coming home after 4:30. Any good ideas or short cuts?
Re: East End Ladies
No suggestions on traffic but wanted to say a good friend works there also. Last year was her first year. My daughter was in her wedding. Mrs. Padezan is her name. She really enjoyed working there last year.
Sorry I can't help with traffic.
When I have to drive between work and daycare (Greentree and Squirrel Hill) at rush hour, I always take Boulevard of the Allies. It can sometimes be slow, but I've generally found it to move well and for a surface street there aren't a ton of traffic lights.
I generally choose the west end circle over the Fort Pitt tunnel, although I don't think the tunnel is as bad in the evening as it is in the morning.
HTH,
Amy
Are you close to route 60? You could take that into McKees Rocks, then jump on 51 - the go through downtown (uptown to oakland to squirrel hill).
Congratulations on finding a position!
Woops, just saw that you asked about coming home - just reverse what I said above
Congrats again!
