Lewes/Cape May Ferry

Any of ya'll ever do it? We're headed to Lewes on Saturday and we are planning on taking the ferry to Cape May and biking to the zoo. I have NO idea how we're going to do this with nap, but we'll figure it out.

Re: Lewes/Cape May Ferry

  • Yes we usually do it once a summer from Wildwood to Lewes then spend the day in Rehobeth, actually supposed to go this past weekend but plans fell through. The time you are on the ferry, you can walk around with the coach for his nap or even stay in the car (but what fun is that?). They have indoor and outdoor seating, it is fun to watch from the top deck.

Cape May zoo is great too, small and free (donation accepted) and I am pretty sure there is a nice bike trail that runs right next to it

  • I did it with my family years ago, but we went from Cape May to Lewes. It's fun, and I couldn't believe how big the ships were.
  • I've gone from Cape May to Lewes for the outlets...but never the reverse.  Not sure how far the zoo is from the ferry terminal.  The ferry is great, though - very big!

  • If he is like m he can have a cranky nap via bike but be okay.
