What brand of jeans do you wear?
I have worn Old Navy jeans for the past 10 years or so because they're affordable and they come in lengths (I'm short!). But lately they don't seem to fit so well and they stretch out a lot. I wear jeans almost everyday in the fall/winter/spring so I'd like a good pair.
So please recommend your jeans! The more affordable, the better!

Re: What brand of jeans do you wear?
Before kids, when I had a lot more disposable income, I had an obsession with Lucky Jeans. They fit me SO GOOD. But yeah, they are like $100. I still squeeze myself into my old ones, they have held up remarkably well. Their sizing is consistent and they have 3 different lengths.
I am not a fan of old navy jeans (even though i have a couple of pairs) because I find their sizing means nothing (I can wear any size from a 4 through a 12) and like you said they seem to stretch out weird and not hold their shape.
I did get a pair of Levi's bootcut slimming jeans from Macy's a while ago and they are decent. I feel like the rise is a bit high and 'mom-jean' ish though, but I guess that is the price you pay for slimming. I just wear a longer top.
Not a fan of any of the jeans I have gotten from Kohl's either. Also the Gap. I really really want to like the Gap jeans but they never look right on me.
ETA: I think these are the Levi's I have

ooh, yeah, I picked up a pair of Sevens in the old Filene's Basement once and they were very flattering and comfy. unfortunately I cant squeeze my out-of-shape rear end into them anymore
But they sit there in my closet waiting.

A lot of the major department stores and other jean specialty shops carry them. Bloomingdales and Neimans also carry them - and once you know your size many of the deal-a-day sites also run specials every few months. There's actually a Seven for All Mankind shop at Tysons Galleria.
Try the A Pockets. You'll be sold for life.

I really need new jeans. I wore AE jeans growing up but I need to switch to a more adult brand. My problem is that I carry almost all of my excess weight in my stomach. My waist is almost two sizes bigger than my legs, which makes shopping difficult.
I'll have to check out some of these options.
Someone's getting a little brother!
Citizens of Humanity.....they look the best on my butt (at least they did pre-baby). If you are willing "invest" (which sounds dumb but a good pair of jeans can be worth their weight in gold) do what I did lol - I went to Nordstrom, grabbed every pair of jeans in 3 different sizes and tried them all on. The sales people were fine with it (or at minimum very good at hiding their annoyance ha.) Rock and Republic looked awful on me, SFAM are okay but not fabulous on my butt, etc. It was helpful to see all the different comparisons in one trip.
If you are looking at Filenes or the like - there is a brand called "Sevens" or something that is NOT what Rags etc are referring to, so be careful (they may fit fine, I dont know, but if you want Seven for All Mankind they are different.)
