As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. Well-Being Wednesday ~ 8/8/12

Let's hear it ladies - in what areas of life have you been good, where do you need some inspiration? Had a great weight loss? Reached a new running or exercise milestone? took some time to do something for yourself like a haircut, new craft, or new recipe? 

Share your well-being thoughts here! Let's cheer each other on, and offer to hold the pint of ice cream when, well, it's just one of those weeks.

  • I'm back to within 2 lbs of where I was pre-10K when I had to stop exercising. So that feels good!

    The soreness in my knee from PT run on Monday is being chalked up to my knee just readjusting, since it's not in the same place and isn't an acute pain, more just a muscle soreness. Great, starting from near scratch again, blech. I've been eating better, def drank too much over the weekend but oh well. Getting my water in finally is helping, and allowing myself to enjoy treats here and there def keeps me on track better.

    And I have the name and # of a therapist to call today/tomorrow to make an appointment. It's funny, in preparation for getting up the nerve to make that call, I've been doing so much better focusing my brain and being positive. But I have done that before and it all unravels at some point, so time for real help.

    Oh and I ordered a few supplies for xmas presents already - I was inspired ;-)

    And Jerred comes home tonight, which is always good for my well-being!

  • Good for you, Michele! Sounds like you've moving in the right direction on all fronts! What are the xmas presents you have in the works? I need to get started, as I'm due 12/31 with this LO and I'm guessing I won't want to be strolling around the mall with swollen ankles at 38 weeks to finish shopping :) 

    I'm not having a good week. Butt kicked by a cold, missed yoga, don't feel like walking past the mailbox by the time I get home from work. I'm not a small person, and add pregnancy to that and I feel like I still just look fatter and not really pregnant yet. Add in the horrible acne, hair that needed cutting 6 months ago that's driving me crazy, and the overly emotional reactions I am having to everything in my life and I just feel awful. I need a designated drinker to have a beer for me so I can feel better. Any takers?

  • I will volunteer to take a beer for you ;-) 

    My ideas so far center on the fact that DH and I drew my MIL and youngest SIL's names in the gift exchange this year. So I am doing wooden plaques with a photo mod podged onto them.... hoping to get great pics at the cabin on our vacation in a few weeks, then I can print and get those done! Also trying out a lip gloss recipe on Pinterest for the tweens, figuring they will love that!

  • I enjoyed chowder and clamcakes on Sunday, along with more junk food than I typically eat in a week. Needless to say, I skipped my weigh-in on Monday. Getting back to eating healthy, but need to start tracking my meals again, and definitely need to get moving! Chasing the kids is not sufficient.

    I ended up getting sneaked (snuck?)... squeezed in for an early hair appointment today, so I am back to my short hairstyle. It's slightly different, but I think I like it. And I remembered to remind the hairdresser to not use any products on my Jess. It still looks cute, without the "gunk" (the hairdresser's term, not mine!) holding it in place.
