Wishful Wednesday, anyone?

What are you wishing for today? :)

Re: Wishful Wednesday, anyone?

  • I wish it would rain on Saturday. My book club is supposed to go to the beach and I just don't feel like it. The back-up plan is bowling, and that sounds like a lot more fun.

I wish I could finish the office redo without M's help. He's seriously slowing me down.

    I wish it was Friday.

  • I wish that the summer would slow down.

I wish that everyone lived closer so that get togethers didn't have to involve so much time and planning.

I wish I didn't worry about our families' reactions to the possibility of adoption. Along with that I wish we had an extra $20k sitting around.

     This times 1000!

I wish it was easy enough to just drop Mackenzie off at her grandparents for a couple hours or a luxurious whole day so that we could get some stuff done.  But alas, the closest ones are 3 hours away.

And my regular wish these past 7 weeks - I wish for Mackenzie's cast to come off and her hips to be fixed.

  • I wish I could find my darn replacement IKEA light bulbs. One of the bulbs in our lamp burned out last night and I know I have extras, I just don't know where, and the nearest IKEA is like 40 minutes away and I don't want to drive there, plus I can't today anyway.

I wish it wasn't rainy and I wasn't tied to the house all day waiting for a signature required UPS delivery. I really want to go out for a walk.

I wish I would have had some progress at my doctor appt yesterday, but nothing yet.

I wish we had a money tree.

I wish our houses would close already, sitting waiting for a date for months is worse than sitting around waiting for labor to start. I'm too impatient to not know when things are happening, especially when it's costing a small fortune. At least I know the baby can't stay in forever and will eventually come, but the houses who knows, they can keep dragging it out or the deals could fall through last minute and that makes me nervous.

  • I wish there was a job in our area that would make DH happy.

I wish DH's student loans would magically disappear.

I wish I didn't have to have my finger pricked for my GD test next week (I'm such a wimp).

I wish I would win $200,000 so that I could pay off our mortgage, all the debt we have, and have money to put in the bank.

I wish that all clothes were as comfy as maternity clothes.

I wish a friend of mine wouldn't lose herself in relationships...whenever she gets a boyfriend, she forgets she has friends unless he's busy.

I wish it was appropriate to take naps while at work...my entire body is exhausted and I can't stop yawning!

  • I wish H would get comfortable teaching elementary school general music.  I know it's not his cup of tea but it's part of his job this year (and hopefully ONLY this year) and I want it to be a good year.  I love this place and want us to be here for a long time.

I wish I could figure out why my phone alarm hasn't worked the past 3 days.  I would really like to wake up earlier than I have been.

  • I wish my baby would sleep through the night. I'm tired. I'm also really sick of reading status updates by friends with 2 month olds who sleep through the night. Not fair!

  • I wish I had a time turner.

I wish I could take naps at work. Or that I could just function without sleep. That'd be awesome.

I wish I hadn't thought I could handle Relay for Life and the company picnic and the company camping weekend ALL IN THE SAME WEEKEND. Nicole-Fail.

I wish I could go to Hawaii without worrying about work, but that's going to be impossible.

I wish I could stay at my job forever and that somehow David could do med school without all these sacrifices on my part. Sigh.

  • I wish my schedule wasn't so up in the air right now. Finn has been cooped up in the house due to rain for a while and I want to take him to the park to run, but I have no idea when I have to work.

Which leads me to another wish.... I wish I didn't have to work right now. I'm putting up with a lot of things that just plain suck because I need a job that works with my schedule and nannying is all that's available right now.

I wish my doctor would get their phone lines fixed. After calling several times a day for a week, I finally got someone to pick up the phone and make an appointment. When I asked about the phone issue I got a generic "they work, we just don't always get to them very quickly" sort of answer. I'm sorry, you can't answer the phone at all over the course of a week? I call bullshit.

  • I wish summer would last forever.

I wish my dentist didn't book up so quickly, or I wish I had remembered to call 3 weeks ago when I got the reminder in the mail.

I wish I could convince DH that we need to go to Disney in November.

I wish I could get the motivation that I had a couple of weeks ago to run/work out back.

  • I wish I'd start sleeping better at night.

I wish my brain would cooperate with me so I can do a bit of overtime at work.

  • I wish I had a money tree

I wish I didn't have a wedding to go to on Saturday... I can only handle so many 'So, how are you feeling? when are you due? you look like you're having quadruplets' conversations in a day. It was bad enough back in June at the last wedding.

I wish it were next Friday so that I could get my pedi!! I'm in dire need of one!

  • I wish for a BFP this month...

I wish for a smooth start to this school year on Monday.

I wish the photo book from our vacation would make itself.

  • imageAngelSmitty:

I wish that all clothes were as comfy as maternity clothes.

This is so true!!  I have no idea why people would not want to wear maternity clothes, because they are awesome.

I wish my feet wouldn't get so swollen.

I wish all the baby stuff would just organize itself.

I wish I knew how much clothes and in what sizes the baby will need.

I wish the economy would get better and it would be easier to get a job in the field everyone went to school for.

I wish my feet wouldn't get so swollen.

I literally could poke my foot and it would be like poking pizza dough, you could see the indentations.

My students had a blast poking my "pizza" feet. :-/

Also, as for baby clothes, KR was in 0-3/newborn sizes for 3 weeks, TOPS. Buy sleepers, that's what they will live in.

Here's how many "tubs" (the bigger rubbermaid ones) I have of clothes

    0-3/newborn-1 tub

    3-6- 1 tub

    6-9-2 tubs

    9-12-2 tubs

    12 months-2 tubs

18 months-2 tubs (probably, I haven't packed up his stuff since he can still fit into it.

    18-2T-3 tubs-ish.

I had a lot of stuff that was handed down, that's why I have so much crap. I have outfits that he didn't even stay the same size long enough to wear when he was younger. They tend to grow a tad bit fast.
