For the non-bikini waxers... *TMI Alert*

Do y'all have any trimmers/razors that you swear by? I can't afford to get a bikini wax each and every time I need one...and I live on the beach...and I have ingrown hair issues with regular razors...and I need help figuring out how to handle this situation!!! :/

Re: For the non-bikini waxers... *TMI Alert*

  • I usually get sugared (lasts way longer than waxing) but when I do shave I use the Venus Breeze. I also use conditioner as my shaving lotion. I helps plump up the hair and get a close shave. Neosporin  (sp?) works wonders on ingrowns, razor burn, and chub rub.

Sugared?  I have never heard of that (am I that out of it?  haha)  If you don't mind, can you explain?  Also didn't know about neosporin!

I have the same problem, so I'm curious for responses.

  • I actually got sugared before our wedding...with DH's initial and everything :) It's still expensive though!
  • I also use the venus breeze and conditioner for shave lotion as well. I always save the shaving for last in the shower.

I must be that out of it as well - I've never heard of sugared.

I use a venus razor (either embrace or breeze...can't remember!)  I'll have to try the conditioner trick :-)

  • I usually wax myself - pretty easy to do and cheaper than going to the salon. I like the one by Moujan since it just washes off with soap and water and isn't so messy. I use a moisturizer by one of the popular self-waxing kits that I can't recall the name of right now and it also prevents the hair from growing back so quickly. But when I don't have time to wax, I have the Phillips Bikini razor that I like a lot. It's an electric one.

This is the place I go to, they have a video explaining and showing how it's done. It is more expensive than waxing but I think the difference in results more than makes up for it
