Super Easy Chicken Recipe

The other night, I made this super easy chicken for me and my fiance to have for dinner. All you do is put Italian dressing on chicken breast (we let it marinate all day, but you don't have to) then you just put it in the oven on 375 for 40-50 minutes. I thought it would just be okay, but it was so good! His dad even took it for lunch the next day and told us it was super delicious!! I told my fiance it's going to be my dish to impress people with lol. It seems like you put so much effort into it but it's really quick and simple!

Re: Super Easy Chicken Recipe

  • If you want a decent casserole I will chunk some redskins and put in the bottom of a 9x13, add some fresh/frozen green beans (canned does not do well for the texture), then put the chicken on top.  For a final touch add some parm cheese.

This and some brownies is my standard to take to a new mom.

  • Try doing that in the crockpot and add a teaspoon of cumin. Amazing!

  • Sounds so good!! I might have to do that. My future sister-in-law is due any day now and that sounds so yummy! Thanks

I'd like more info about prepping this for taking to someone.  Do you cook and then let them heat it up?  Do you assemble (with raw chicken) and give them baking instructions?  It's always nice to take something other than lasagna or baked ziti!
    Thanks!
  • Wingit- I usually set it up with the mom/dad.  If delivery is easier in the morning I'll take it over raw.  If they can get it anywhere around dinner I'll take cooked.  Because there is so much moisture the chicken stays moist even if it's not watched closely.

It's pretty easy to sub out any vegetable too if they don't like green beans.  While I appreciated all of the food people brought me, there was too much pasta stuff.  This gets protein, starch, and veg all in one.  It's pretty universally liked by people and good if there are other kids.

I do add some extra Italian seasoning on top, but cumin sounds good too.
