Highs? M and I spent almost all of Saturday together, and it was nice. We did some back-to-school shopping and other errand running, had lunch just the two of us, and then went to a birthday party. My nephew and E got a ton of junk out of our house and to the dump and it's amazing how excited I was by this fact.
Lows? As always, I didn't get as much done as I wanted to. But the real serious low is a lovely skin infection that I've developed on the under-side of my belly. It's incredibly painful and makes it difficult for me to even move. I was in tears last night. Calling the doctor first thing tomorrow.
Eat/make anything good? Nothing really sticks out.
Watch anything good? Almost done with my re-watch of the first season of Alias. Mmm, Michael Vartan as Vaughn.
Read anything good? Nope.
FFCs, Vents, AWs, Comments, etc.? M's starting to show signs of anxiety, both related to the baby coming and her starting kindergarten. Which makes sense - it's a lot of change in a very short time for my girl. But I'm struggling with how to deal with it and how to help her. In other news, my husband continues to be absolutely amazing. He busted his butt on Saturday to clean the junk out of the house, he's taking incredible care of me, he did the grocery shopping for me tonight. I'm so thankful for him.
What are you looking forward to this week? Going to the doctor and hopefully getting some relief for this skin issue. Friday I have another growth scan and my weekly OB appointment with NST. And we have some good weekend plans to look forward to!
Highs? Saw lots of friends at Sunset Cove on Friday
Lows? Just now had to make my dog throw up a maxi bad
Eat/make anything good? Yes! Blue Hill Tavern last night! Crabs today
Watch anything good? I'm catching up on Greys Anatomy, George just died so I'm up to episode 6
Read anything good? nothing
FFCs, Vents, AWs, Comments, etc.? I hate my job and my performance shows
What are you looking forward to this week? Not much, I should try and look forward to the gym and see if that works for motivation
Highs? Had a great yoga workout yesterday morning at the gym, finally got DH motivated to get get a bunch of DVDs put up on EBay that have just been sitting in a box
Lows? DH having a mini episode Friday night
Eat/make anything good? pizza Friday night and the freshest fruit I've ever had on Saturday
Watch anything good? caught up on the previous 2 weeks of Breaking Bad so that I could watch last night's episode in real time
Read anything good? No
FFCs, Vents, AWs, Comments, etc.? AW in a way...my nephew clearly favors DH and I over other Aunts and Uncles in the family. He is always calling us or asking his parents when we are hanging out and going out together. It's too cute.
What are you looking forward to this week? Steam cleaning my floors tonight(sad, isn't it!?) and then I'm having a girls night in Wednesday night and having a PartyLite show (side note...www.partylite.com/tarac if you want anything!), also my BFF's 30th is Saturday. She has been in the hospital lately so I'm sure it'll be lowkey but I want to go surprise her and brighten her day.
Highs? Yesterday was the laziest Sunday we've had in a long time. We did absolutely nothing around the house. We didn't clean, cook, or do yard work. It was nice.
Lows? Since we did nothing yesterday, I will pay for it today.
Eat/make anything good? We tried out a new place by us - Coal Fire Pizza. It was very good but I prefer thicker crust. DH loves thin crust so he thought it was amazing.
Watch anything good? Finished Season 4 of Breaking Bad and are up to date on Season 5. Finished watching the Olympics.
Read anything good? Nope
FFCs, Vents, AWs, Comments, etc.? FFC: I'm not sure if this is a confession but DH is starting a new web business. He has been working insanely hard and I hope it is a success. He'll be devastated if it flops.
What are you looking forward to this week? Nothing really. I'm off today and tomorrow but I'm watching my niece tomorrow while my nephews at the hospital.
Highs? Had lots of fun with Gracie (swimming appointment, pet store trip and lots of park time). Took SIL the wedding scrapbook I made for her and she liked it. Got to meet the 2 day old colt as well.
Lows? My Grandma was a huge PITA at the restaurant for my mom's birthday dinner.
Eat/make anything good? So much junk food this weekend. DH brought me home Fractured Prune donuts and fudge from the beach. We also had Pei Wei, Mexican Cafe and Back Porch Cafe.
Watch anything good? American Reunion was pretty good. Also caught up on True Blood (except for last night's episode).
Read anything good? Finished listening to Moonlight Mile and I'm still reading the Matchmaker of Perigord.
FFCs, Vents, AWs, Comments, etc.? Comment: I'm really glad my exercise center is opening back up today. I ate so much crap this weekend and I really need to burn some stress and lard off tonight.
What are you looking forward to this week? Nail appointment, haircut, getting drywall up in the family room and my friend's wedding.
Highs? Fairly relaxing weekend. Birthday party with DS on Saturday, then dinner out. BIL & SIL came over for dinner on Sunday.
Lows? DS was in some discomfort on Saturday.
Eat/make anything good? I made lasagna last night. It's something I love but rarely make because it takes so long.
Watch anything good? Caught some of the Olympics, watched an episode of Breaking Bad.
Read anything good? No.
FFCs, Vents, AWs, Comments, etc.? DH needs to be more patient with DS. Not sure how to accomplish that but continuously asking DS "what's wrong? what's wrong? what's wrong???" when he's crying and getting increasingly frustrated when he doesn't answer is not helping anyone. I get it, but still.
What are you looking forward to this week? Going to Target. I haven't had any time to myself in over a month.

Highs? We had a great weekend, went dinner Friday night w/both kids and I would call that a success (A ate a ton, C loved being held). Sunday the weather was beautiful so we checked out the zoo, we even got to use the sit and stand stroller.
Lows? O's game was a wash out... we had A w/ us and the rain delay was three hours. She never got to see the O's play or sit in our seats.
Eat/make anything good?We had chicken sun dried tomato sausages yesterday.
Watch anything good? Just some bits and pieces of the ending ceremony and the Marathon on Sunday morning.
Read anything good? Still reading "The next best thing" by Jennifer Weiner. I'm having trouble finding time to read.

What are you looking forward to this week?We are having crabs on Saturday evening w/friends.
I can remember having that same issue when M was younger. E expected her to be able to communicate more effectively than she was able to, simply based on her age and development. It was hard to get that clear in his mind. Good luck!
Highs? Ummm. It was a pretty good weekend, hard to pick one high point. I guess finding out that our best friends, couple-wise, are expecting their first child. These are DH's best friends from his childhood who ended up in baltimore as well so I know he is super super excited. I was pretty sure she was pregnant the last time we saw them, but not positive, and it was confirmed Friday night.
Lows? We moved DS to his crib this weekend. He did pretty well and still slept through the night in it but it makes me sad to not have him in my room next to me anymore.
Eat/make anything good? We had crabs friday night - yay!

FFCs, Vents, AWs, Comments, etc.? We did take DS to his first baseball game on Sunday. It was ridiculously fun and there were so many babies there, it was crazy! he made some new friends so that was cute lol.
What are you looking forward to this week? One of my lifelong best friends (I've known her since I was two) is getting married Saturday night. i'm really excited about it! My brother is watching the baby so that will be interesting for him I'm sure.
Highs? Not going to PA. I had a mini-break down on Friday (I'm being a bit dramatic) and decided that I did not want to spend my Saturday schelpping to PA to hear my mom complain about how she is in in-patient therapy and how they aren't doing things right, etc.
Lows? Feeling a bit of guilt for staying home.
Eat/Make? - Nothing spectacular
Watch - We watched an episode of "Misfits" and I finally finished "Grimm" in enough time for the new season to start. I think it has gotten better over the course of the season.
Read - I started "Win Through the Keyhole" by Stephen King
FFC - Mom drama - My mom told her dogwalker that she was just going to sign herself out because they won't let her out. She can't walk by herself or really do anything by herself - shower, cook, clean, let her dog out - she has stairs down to the front door. Dogwallker calls to confirm that the nursing home won't do this. Mom was complaining to me about being there and I told her that if she had taken better care of herself, she wouldn't be there in the first place.
AW, FINALLY DD got her first tooth. YAY! It's the top left one. I am so excited. Her Dr. was concerned that she did not have any teeth yet and wanted me to schedule an appt. for xrays with a pediatric dentist because he couldn't see them. (She wouldn't open her mouth for him). I kept putting it off for a variety of reasons - time, money, and I didn't want to expose her to unnecessary xrays.
Looking forward to vacation! On our way to the beach, we are stopping and seeing my dad. I haven't seen him in 7 years.
Lows? Later afternoon trip to Costco yesterday was a total disaster. DD had one breakdown/tantrum after another. I made the suggestion to go there and I felt like DH was annoyed w/ me for E's breakdowns.
Eat/make anything good? DH made some good cookies Saturday
Watch anything good? I watched "Friends with Kids" on Saturday
Read anything good? No - I left my Kindle charger at work so I didn't read all weekend.
FFCs, Vents, AWs, Comments, etc.? Watching DD experience her first real "rollercoaster" was just awesome and something I would never know I was missing if I didn't have her, just made me happy to be a parent and have a family. Also - vent - we had to get my brakes replaced on Friday and new tires. It ended up costing a good bit that we really hadn't anticipated. Its fine, we have the money, but as usual DH flipped out about it. I'm not super excited about spending that money, but whatevs, it needs to be done.
What are you looking forward to this week? Crabfeast @ my BIL's this Saturday. I'm excited to see DD get to swim with her older cousins!
Highs? The whole weekend was pretty amazing. We took Maddox to see the Wiggles at Hershey on Saturday and he all but lost his mind. He was dancing in the aisle and even got to shake Jeff's hand. I was pretty blown away by the show that they put on. You can tell that they love it - and it seemed like its being the farewell tour for three of them just made them give their all that much more. After the show we did Hershey Park in the evening and then again for the day yesterday. All in all, one of the best weekends we've had in a long time.
Lows? Not much to speak of. Maddox did NOT enjoy the character breakfast on Sunday morning, though. Given his age, I knew having him in the same room as a giant Hershey bar was kind of a risk though - so we just ate our chocolate chip pancakes and got out of there. Also, early admission to the park was totally wasted on the non-pregnant parent. Brad couldn't get up the nerve to ride Skyrush (which has a crazy wait during normal park hours - not something we can do with DS in tow). I was so jealous that he had the option that I actually got a little annoyed with him for a minute.
Eat/make anything good? Not really. Tried to make the best of park food.
Watch anything good? The Wiggles show!
Read anything good? Didn't pick up a book all weekend.
FFCs, Vents, AWs, Comments, etc.? I am SO ready for fall/winter. I just want the pool closed and the yard frosted over so that we can stop dealing with it.
What are you looking forward to this week? Nothing big happening this week. Just hoping work stays manageable so that I can catch up on housework and sleep.

Eat/make anything good? DH made carmalized onion and goat cheese pizza. It was so good!

Read anything good? I'm slowing making my way through this Lisa Gardner book. I hope it picks up soon.
