Bought a new mattress
I posted last week asking for recs on mattress toppers since I had bought one from BBB that wasn't doing much of anything for us....well H and I decided to go into a different direction!
Here in MA, we had tax free weekend, so H and I went to Jordans Furniture last night...layed on a whole bunch of mattresses and finally found one that we love and could afford.
It's a Sealy Optimum mattress and it's memory foam that is designed to keep you cooler when its hot and warm when it's cool....We get to pick it up on Wednesday, and we both can't wait! yay!!

H and I can't wait to buy a new mattress. We're waiting until we buy a house though... we want to get a King and don't want to lug it up to our 3rd floor apartment that we're in now.

The salesperson told us that it might take time to get used to it since we've only ever had an inner-spring mattress. She said that we could feel sore (like if we started a new exercise) because the mattress is holding our bodies differently...I thought that was kind of interesting, and good to know in case we wake up sore and think "this mattress sucks!!" lol
We checked out the Tempurpedic beds and the lowest price one (simplicity i think?) was about $300 more than the Sealy, and the salesperson said that for every Tempurpedic bed he sells, he sells about 20 of the Sealy's, plus if he's getting commision on this and didn't want us to go with the more expensive one, I think that says something....but we'll see and I'll let you know how it goes

Congrats for your new mattress. I hope you have received the mattress till now. So how is it? Is it comfortable enough? I wish it is. You should use mattress protector to protect it. A mattress is a long term investment and we must have proper measures for its security.
