The fridge is here!

Our fridge came on Saturday! The delivery guys were half an hour early from the 2 hour window they were supposed to show up in - glad we were home!

Sorry for the cr@ppy cell phone pics. It's massive compared to the fridge we had before! We are now on the search for narrow trash/recycle bins that are stainless steel or black so they blend in with the fridge and the stove. image

Still have a little more organizing to do - we might end up taking out a shelf to have more room for tall bottles, etc. But we have plenty of room - this pic was taken after our food shopping trip for the week!

Anyone have advice on organizing the freezer drawers? I think we need some bins to corral everything. We've got small food portions frozen for backup meals for DS when he won't eat what we're having, plus frozen meats, bags of veggies, some premade fries, etc.

  • For the freezer - dollar store! Get a bunch of cheap baskets/containers and you'll be all set! I'm about to do both of our freezers, I've been stalking what baskets are in stock at the dollar store. Target dollar aisle also has some good containers right now b/c it's back to school time.

Oh, and here's the trash can that I have that I LOVE. It's sturdy, my kids don't tip it over, and b/c it's automatic the kids can't easily get into it. And now that they are bigger they like hovering over it to make it open ;-)

  • Oh, that looks great!  No advice on the freezer.  Ours is so unorganized.  I like Michele's idea to get some cheap baskets of some sort.  I love the fridge part of ours, but the freezer is annoying!
  • What a nice, large fridge! Looks awesome. I think bins sound like a great option. I will have to check with my mom and see how she organized her freezers, and will get back to you!

  • Aren't those the best!!!  We have one of the french door fridges as well and love it.  No advice on the freezer though.  Our's is a mess.
