Fog this morning - makes me think that summer is coming to a close :-(
Rode my motorcycle to work for the first time today. It was a ton of fun and not scary at all. It probably helped that most of my commute is on 28th street so it was nice and slow :-)
Anyone have any last minute vacation plans? DH and I decided to go camping near pictured rocks in mid September.
Re: Groovy Tuesday Randoms
Details about the wedding, Wop! Why such a cluster??
Deleted for privacy.
Wow what a rant. Don't quote- I might DD later.
Yep, for S. No one lives at "home" anymore, his parents live super close to us though.
Ha, I don't know why his name came to my head but for some reason I'm not that surprised....his fiance is a bit, hmmm what's the word? Well, actually, what do you think of her?
She can be really nice, honestly, she can be, but it seems she chooses not to be. I feel like she's trying to keep a certain image for her friends or something. It's weird. Whenever I talk to her she's really nice, but whenever H talks about her and tells me some of the stuff she says, it's...yikes. Maybe once the wedding is over, she'll be more normal. Weddings make people crazy.
Hopefully it's the stress. Otherwise that sucks for you and N!
Yeah, who knows. I just want it to be over. Ugh. I'm so sick of weddings! Haha.
That sounds like a super fun wedding TH.
I have to agree about wedding attire being a bit to casual. DH isn't a fan of dress pants and shirts but he will "suffer" through a few hours for a wedding.
Last night I made pasta primavera with shrimp and it turned out surprising well. Tonight will be turkey and black bean wet burrito's.
My parents are selling their 2001 Mustang GT. They are planning on getting a Nissan Versa, which is what we told them to get instead of the mustang, and the dealer ship told them it would be better to sell it on Craigslist than trade it in on the new car. We took pics of the car and will put it on Craigslist for them. Hopefully it sells quickly and my Mom will have a car to drive again.
I need another vehicle. I am stuck with a cheap ole piece of junk 1996 van that is a gas guzzler. M refuses to help me get a newer car and help me with payments, etc. I am paranoid that something is going to happen to it soon and that I am going to be stranded somewhere. Grandparents say that we'll figure something out when it gets to that point, etc.
M and I had a talk last week. He doesn't think that I can change and that he doesn't see this lasting. But hey look I'm still here. Ugh.
Atleast I have counseling next week. I also have been working out and maybe some of this will help with the stress and anxiety.
Sorry if this was TMI - just had to get it off my chest because I have been holding it in.
I think a lot of us know your having a ruff time right now. Part of the point of being here is to release things sometimes. We have all done it now and then. Working out is a great way to deal with stress and anxiety. It helps me, I just have to remember to do it more often. Personally, it doesn't sound like your DH is being that supportive for you.
I think I missed some of the details on this before I came back to TN.....if you don't mind sharing, what is the change and what won't last? Feel free to tell me to shut it if I'm overstepping!
This is really dumb....but I am so tired of filling out applicantions for jobs. Up north all I have to do is quickly email or mail my cover letter, resume, certification and letters of rec. Boom, done. EVERY place downstate makes you go to some online applicant tracking website where you have to fill-out a minimum of 20 pages of the exact same stuff on your resume....and then attach a resume at the end. Dumb.
Hey all! I've been so busy lately and haven't had much of a chance to get on here. Haven't been busy with anything special, just keeping busy with Hannah.
DH and I have two date night coming up! We are going to dinner and a movie Saturday night and then next Wednesday we have tickets for the Darius Rucker concert at Meijer Garden's. Looking forward to a little adult time w/o having to worry about Hannah.
Charity sorry to hear about your rough time. Vent all you need to. Hopefully working out will help with your stress/anxiety. I've heard it does, I'm just too lazy to try.
TW - Good luck with that wedding this weekend. Sounds interesting. At least come Sunday you will know it's done.
Enjoy your upcoming staycation and BabyWop's birthday!
Here you go!
