So this is ridiculous

I wrote my first BAD review on Trip Advisor this morning.  When it comes to websites like that, I tend to take the approach that if I can't say something nice, then I shouldn't say anything at all.....but I got so P!SSED this past weekend that I couldn't resist.

And now I feel all sorts of nervous and weird about it.

  • What happened?
    Books read in 2012: 49
    my bookshelf!
Katie (gingerfeathers)'s book recommendations, favorite quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)

  • The spa attempted to jerk me around on pricing and then attempted to make me feel like a cheap bastard because of it. I am sorry, but I know of NO ONE that is okay with paying $300 for spa services when they know the person in the room next to them is paying $140.  When (or, if) the review is published I will send it to you.

I am getting all sorts of p!ssed off again just thinking about it.

  • I get anxious about stuff like that too, but it's totally unnecessary. They owe you an apology, not the other way around.

Yes, I agree. I NEVER give bad reviews.  Ever. I just won't give a review. But I think the hotel needs to know what happened. I did address the issue with the spa manager and her response was "Well, at prices like these, our employees don't make any money." That isn't my problem and that should NEVER be said to a customer. Ever. Oh, I could go on and on.

  • Yikes. I'm the same way - if I can't say something nice, I won't say anything at all. But with a situation like that, I'd be more likely to write a review. I can't believe the spa manager said that; like you said, NOT your problem.

  • I'm pretty soft-spoken/conflict-averse, but I am pretty opinionated on the subject of reviews. I strongly believe in giving reviews if my experience was either really good OR really bad. If it was uneventful, I generally don't bother, but I tend to research things before booking, and I want to know other people's honest experiences, good or bad. Well done, I say!
