Michelle Obama and Apollo Ohno
Did anybody else catch that clip on the Olympics? Michelle Obama is playing tug of war (I think) with Apollo Ohno and a couple of the summer Olympic athletes. And she said something like, "Oh wow! You guys are small but strong!" She was acting like they all had primordial dwarfism. As a shortish person (5'4") I take offense!
By the way I checked on Apollo's height and he's 5'8 and the other athletes seemed around the same.
Who the heck does she think she is!?! I just thought that was so rude. She was around some of the best athletes in the world and that's what she says to them.

i would have classified him as "small" as well. not because of height, but because his build isn't overly large. obviously he's good at what he does because of a smaller/leaner build.

That's true, I didn't think of it like that. I guess that could be how she meant it. It just seemed like an awkward moment.
She's what I would consider to be pretty tall, so maybe there were some height jokes exchanged between them beforehand? Were the athletes offended by her comment? I don't really think it's anything more than maybe an awkward comment. I'm 5'2", so maybe I'm just immune to height comments.
