Productive Wedding Week

And here I thought I was all done with those!  :)

I finally sent my photog a list of our top 100 photos to help her put together our album!

I was inspired (or ashamed) of the 100 day mark, so I trudged through the rest of my Thank Yous, and finally got all of those out..

When we opened the cards, I wrote cash on the back of the ones that had cash in them, and kept a list of all the people who gave us checks.  I kept only the cards that had cash on the back for thank you note purposes.  My parents moved into our house a couple of days after the wedding, and then we were off on our honeymoon.  I wrote all the gift and check thank yous on the plane, but didn't have the cash cards, so those had to wait.

Upon our return, I couldn't find the cards ANYWHERE.  I was convinced that my parents had tossed them while 'helping' us straighten up when they moved in.

After 2 months of searching, I finally found them.  Yes, Mom had moved them (buried, actually) when they moved in.   Phew.  I know I'm super late with the thank yous, but I'm glad I found them, so I could at least know for sure who to send them to, instead of an awkward 'thanks for the wedding gift' to someone who didn't give us anything!  :)

And my parents finally moved out.  Things are looking up!  H and I are loving having our house back, as newlyweds :)

Re: Productive Wedding Week

  • *sigh of relief* SOOO glad you found them!  I ended up losing all of our notes about who got us what so I did end up having to do the "thanks for the gift" with no specifics, fingers crossed they got us anything at all, money included.  ...oops

  • I was terrified when I thought they had been thrown out.  Absolutely felt like such a horrible person.

I probably should have just gone ahead with the 'Thank you for the gift' notes, but I wanted to make sure I searched every square inch of the house.

It's my own fault, though.. I had the cards in a Target Bag (which was right next to the CVS bag that held the think you notes, which was still there when I got home...) but yeah.  PHEW!
