Sometimes I feel like an old woman...

Whenever I am on facebook...sometimes I just sit there and shake my head and pretty much say "You crazy hooligans...settle down!" This most commonly happens when friends go out and are crazy and then post pictures of it, rush into relationships and post annoying statuses like "We've been together for a week--so in love."

Am I the only crazy old woman on this board?! Please tell me I'm not...I feel like the web techy version of a patio lady...

Re: Sometimes I feel like an old woman...

  • haha  you're not a crazy old lady.. my fb friends don't post annoying crap like that because i think all my fb friends are old like me :-P

i thought i was the crazy old lady recently when i was standing in my yard hollering at the annoying people driving too fast through the neighborhood!  hahaha

  • HAHA I literally just felt like that!

Someone posted a picture on Facebook with a girl bending over and a guy behind her and they were obviously imitating doggy-style and drunk. (In my head) I yelled at my computer "Why would you put that on the internet? Don't you know that's  there forever?"

I'm FB friends with some questionable people from high school (that I'm not really friends with) but they do a lot of crazy/stupid stuff, so I stay friends with them for this sort of entertainment.

  • I do the same thing. But I felt that way before getting married so I can't say that was what changed it for me. However I know I'm only 23 BUT I feel like I have been through so much that has matured me and others my age now annoy me for the most part.
  • I feel the same!! I have a lot of friends that are still pretty wild. DH and I go out often and see our friends, but no house parties on a Tuesday night kind of thing. As a PP said, when my friends post ridiculous pictures, my first instinct is always to think "you silly goose, that's going to be online forever!" And some of them have public profiles, forget trying to get a job when there are pictures of you chugging out of a funnel for all to see...

  • No way! I feel the same way! I work with a 23 year old who is so incredibly immature I feel decades older than her instead of 3 years. She is so full of drama and instead of leaving it at home she brings it to work...

  • I agree...being in the social work field I am extremely careful about what I put on FB...but the amount of drama 'friends' posts baffles me...or even better the comments like this one that showed up on my feed today:

"how you deal with drama on facebook...sigh"

As if they are not adding to the drama by even posting something like that!
