Toddler extracurricular activities
My son turns 3 in a few months and i was thinking about signing him up for some sort of extracurricular activity. Something in the city/sq hill or monroeville/forest hills area would be good. here are some things i have thought of. does anyone have any particular recommendations or ideas to add?
gymkana is a possibility
maybe dance classes? (he is really into dancing...)
karate
sports???
music classes- seems like something he is already getting at daycare and at home..

Swimming?
We live in a different area so I don't have specific recs. but dd has done a bunch of activities throughout the years. She has been taking swimming on and off since 7 months. We really wanted her comfortable with the water (and she really is!).
We did gymnastics a few times as toddler and patent class but last year she did her first on her own class. We did soccer in the spring and baseball earlier in the summer (like what Amanda mentioned. Learning skills not competition). And they have a dance instructor for class that comes to daycare so she did that last year and will this year.
We just want to expose her to different things and see what she enjoys. But I definitely recommend swimming if you haven't done it yet.
We are doing swimming and dance this fall and probably gymnastics in the winter. Those are dd's favorites. She did not like baseball or soccer!

we did kindermusik and I know you said you feel he gets that at Daycare.
But with kindermusik gives you Cds with all the songs from class. Instuments to take home and activity books. my DS doesnt go to daycare so the interaction was something I was interested in, but they also teach them "real music" stuff like fast and slow and high and low and also use other instruments in class.
It is more than just singing along to songs or dancing.
