A bit of hope again
I have a little bit of hope again because just an hour ago I got called for an interview at a local school district. It's for a computer teacher job. It's a very hard school district to get hired in. (I know this because I worked in their summer camp a few summers ago). The superientendent is a mean old lady who only hires people that have connections in the town but regardless I'm going to give it my all and "wow" them. The interview is on Tuesday morning.

I'm following you on both boards, here and on Pro Teacher. I am sorry you didn't get the job you interviewed for a second time last week. At least you have another interview this week. School is still a few weeks away right? I really think you have plenty of time and will get hired, if not at this school who only "hires people that have connections", then somewhere else. Someone very soon is going to see your passion and determination and appreciate it. They'll hire you!
There's a reason why you haven't gotten hired yet, I think it's because the other schools weren't where you were meant to be. I was where you are now. I kept wondering why no one was hiring me even though they were telling me I had a GREAT interview and "the district would be lucky to have me". Even though it took applying to well over 250 positions in 2 counties, 8 interviews, and me obsessing to the extreme about getting hired, I am glad it took so long. I LOVE the school I am at. My principal really appreciates me and so does my grade team. My principal has given me hugs two separate times to show her appreciation and provide support.
When you finally get hired I am sure you will find it to be a PERFECT fit for you, much better than the Catholic school you were at. I know it's hard to believe when going through the horrible job search, but every things happens for a reason.
