I can't be getting sick.... Please be allergies!!
I am all congested, and have a slight sore throat. Not good. I'm cantoring this weekend for the end of VBS (Vacation Bible School) mass at my church. There's really nobody else who can jump in to sing it, especially on this short notice, except for the music director, but she's supposed to be playing and adding the singing may mean that some accompaniment will have to be cut. But, more than that, I don't want anyone else to have to do it.
I have been there for the whole week, jumping in to help wherever needed. I have gotten to know all 50 of these awesome kids (22 months to 17 years old). I've witnessed their exuberance in learning about God, and my own faith was renewed tenfold because of them! Hearing my own two children recount their day to my husband and parents has been incredible. Things I think they may have missed or didn't quite get are being repeated, and with such JOY! Oh, to be able to worship like them!
Taking Benadryl tonight, sipping honey-sweetened tea and other warm beverages all day tomorrow. I have got to kick this.
