Grocery staples?? I have to go grocery shopping today and I'm not really feeling up to it. I feel like we eat the same things over and over again and I am just looking for a change. I use Pinterest for most of my recipes but I am just curious what you ladies buy as staple foods for your home.

Re: What are your...
i almost always have:
baby spinach (or spring mix), grape tomatoes, avocado, carrots, eggs, some kind of lean breakfast protein (canadian bacon, ham, etc.), apples, berries (or whatever fruit is on sale), 0% Fage plain yogurt, onion, garlic, peppers (bell or poblano usually), either chicken or beef, some kind of veggies (whatever's on sale).
i keep a lot of spices/herbs and chicken stock in the cabinet so i can usually whip up some sort of dinner without buying specific ingredients for it.
i eat a lot of salads and usually on sunday or monday i fix my breakfasts for the week (the muffin pan is excellent for mini breakfast quiche) so then all i have to do is pop it in the microwave in the morning at work

We always have:
Lettuce, bananas (and then another type of fruit: apples, peaches, berries, etc- usually whatever is on sale that week), rice, pasta, canned tomatoes (and fresh ones that I freeze until I need them), a bag of green beans (that I freeze), butter, pesto, salad dressing (good for salads and as marinades), mayo (which can also be used to make some sauces), buffalo sauce, shredded cheese, milk, chicken, ground beef, steak tips, pork, and shrimp (I always buy a bag or 2 when they're on sale), and a ton of spices.
About once a month, I'll get potatoes to switch it up from rice or pasta.
I don't buy all of these every week, but I'll restock the items I've used up the week before.
Some things I make sure I ALWAYS have stocked:
lunch meat, bread, milk, eggs, greek yogurt, a cucumber, pasta, minute rice, and baked beans.
Some of it is random, but pretty much everything else we buy for specific meals.
Chicken, ground beef, bread, milk, pizza, drinks, whipping cream, lettuce, tomato, spices, gatorade for H, hot sauce, taco shells, cheese, and then whatever else we need at the time.
I think we need to share a recipe every week. Make it on like Monday!
