Moving in 1 week!!!

Somehow we've done it.... we've made our way out of inspection hell!!! The relo company purchased our home on Friday (they are selling it to our buyers next week) so we are officially homeless!!

We move out this Sunday, the movers are packing us on Monday and loading/leaving on Tuesday. I just need to finish organizing what we want to donate/give away and get everything together that we need while staying with my IL's until early next year. Everything else will be in storage in TX until we find the new place! Can't believe this is really happening!

OMG, how exciting! You have to give me a review on how this whole process has been to go through, and also if you think you could've done it from a distance. We're tossing around the idea of building in TX but I'm worried about only being able to meet with the builders & monitor progress from 1600 miles away.

  • that's awesome, good luck with everything!

I'd definitely say you could do it from a distance. It wouldn't be as much fun to check the progress, but then again that part can also be torturous! Everyone told us to "stay on top" of our builder, but in honesty there wasn't much we could do to influence what was happening one way or the other. I mean that's with Ryan, you'd probably have a different experience depending on the builder. But overall with the exception of a few meetings, I don't see how us living close to where we built was all that necessary.

  • Wow - good luck over the next couple of weeks!
