Any Edge or Murano drivers
I am still looking at getting a new car/crossover/SUV. These are two of my finalists. Does anyone drive one of these or have any experience with either one? The limited visibiilty for reversing and changing lanes scares me with the Murano. Let me know. Thanks.
Re: Any Edge or Murano drivers
I don't have either, so I cannot speak specifically to either car.
We did have a Nissan (X-Terra) that we traded in after 3 years. We hated it! It had some issues (transmission recall, rust) that should not have been issues on a truck only 3 years old with less than 50k miles. Nissan was a pain to work with (both at the dealer level and corporate level).
I know there are a lot of Muranos and Rogues (the smaller version) on the road. I have a friend who drove a Murano and one who drove a Rogue, and neither liked their cars. I don't know specifics about why they did not like them though. Don't know if that is helpful or not
Thanks Mel. It is so hard to pick a car/crossover! It is so much money to spend! I was leaning towards the Ford Edge but thought the Murano might be a smarter choice. We have a friend who drives a murano and loves it. I also have a friend who loves her nissan altima coupe. You just never know. Each car is so different. I am very worried about the limited visibility in the muranos for changing lanes and reversing. It does have a back up camera.
I know you guys have a Pilot. I would love one of those but it it is out of our budget, DH doesn't want that big of SUV, and it would be bad gas mileage for me and my 40 mile round trip commute. I wish I liked the CRVs! I am just not comfortable in it. I love the new accords and sometimes think maybe I should just go with that. But I want to be higher up and have everything at my level so I am not bending over all the time. Such a hard decision!
My SIL just got a new CRV and loves it! She's getting great gas mileage. I always found the gear shift in a weird place in the CRV, but the Pilot's is in the same spot. I love it! It is out of the way and allows for more storage nooks between the 2 front seats.
I will say, just keep doing your research and test drive the cars. We pretty much drive our cars into the ground so we want to love our choices. Good luck and let me know what you end up with.
