School is in session

Hey girls.

When does everyone go back to school (teachers or parents of kids who attend school?) I now don't go back until Sept. 4th! (Originally I went back today.) I still have a ton of things on my to do list but am going to try to enjoy and relax some on these days off too. I am trying not to work (at home or for work) the whole two weeks. I will be missing these days come June.

Teachers were officially back last Wednesday and school begins for us on the 27th. I have back to school night and open house this week, plus some training. It is super busy. I'm even missing the first Friday of school to fly to CA for a wedding. Uggh...already not looking forward to it!

Teachers start back next Tuesday. We have inservice all next week.

Kids come back the following Tuesday.

I am trying to get a lot of planning done already. After taking it easy all summer, I think working full days is going to be a shock to my system.

Teachers have one day of inservice next Thursday. We're off Friday, and kids start on the 4th.

I am so not ready, mentally!!! This is my tenure year and I am so nervous!! I've been doing little bits of prep all summer and I just got my schedule, but the nerves are front and center here!

Sounds like I'm the first to go back! Had inservice for my specific curriculum back on the 8th. New teacher trainings were last week, and today was district inservice. Tomorrow we have one more day of inservice, with kids starting on Wednesday.

We have pd days starting Monday and the kids start next Wednesday. After being out on maternity leave since March I am very much dreading going back...

Now that I am in Higher ed (aka college) I don't get a summer anything....or any vacation, really. But move-in is this week, classes start Monday the 27th and add/drop deadline is Sept 4 so I am working 40 hours (as opposed to my regular 20) the next 2 weeks to deal with the influx of scheduling and major changes as well as other academic issues that may arise when kids wait until the last minute to do anything. Summer is by far the worst/busiest season at work, so I glad it's over, but between work, band and my thesis I'm not looking forward to fall either.

I think you are supermom! I don't know how you juggle all of that plus the baby, good job mama!

As for me I'm not in school and don't have kids in school but I know my nephews/nieces are all going back this coming Monday (27th). Our local schools also start the 27th.
